Frequently asked questions
Notes For Your First Session:
Please arrive 15 minutes early to your first session. This gives us time to complete any necessary paperwork, introduce ourselves, and settle into the space prior to the start of your session time.
During this time, I’ll get to know you as a client: Your background, circumstances, and struggles, yes; But also your strengths, passions, hopes, and unique ways of being in and moving through the world.
We’ll also discuss creating a care plan that feels right for your needs and goals. Many clients prefer to set a schedule of weekly or bi-weekly appointments that consistently fit into the flow of their lives. Having a regular session day and time not only helps you keep your appointments (and keep making progress toward your goals), it makes setting aside time and attention to care for your mental health and wellbeing an integral, habitual part of your life. Like yoga, writing, or playing an instrument, tending to our mental wellness and growth is all about regular, focused practice.
Payments & Pricing:
I accept payment by HSAs, cash, check or credit card. I am an out-of-network provider and While I don’t process payments through healthcare insurers, I’m happy to provide you with a superbill for submission to your insurance provider for qualifying reimbursements under your healthcare plan. (Please check with your provider regarding any benefits for outpatient mental health services prior to making an appointment.)
If you have any questions about payment or pricing, please don’t hesitate to ask.
